When you want useful shelter without committing the pack space and weight of a complete tent, the Rab SilTarp 2 keeps the setup deliberately versatile. Its 2.4m x 3m (7.9ft x 9.8ft) rectangular shape provides 7.5m2 (80.7 sq ft) of coverage, with enough room for 2-3 people depending on how the tarp is pitched. It can also provide additional cover around camp when you need a dry place to sit or organise gear.

The 16 external guy points are what give the SilTarp 2 much of its flexibility. They are made from lightweight webbing and supported by a central lifter point for use with a ridgeline, giving you different ways to shape the shelter around the site and conditions. Corner and central guy points are reinforced with Cordura patches, while the webbing attachment points are double bartacked for added strength.

The siliconised 30D Cordura nylon uses a PU-coated backing with a stated 2000mm (78.7 inch) hydrostatic head rating for waterproof protection. Despite the reinforced construction and generous coverage, the complete tarp weighs 480g (16.9oz) and packs to 25 x 16cm (9.8 x 6.3in) in the supplied stuff sack.
