CRKT Avant Folding Knife CRKT Avant Folding Knife
CRKT Avant Folding Knife

Easy to carry. Built for hard use. The experienced eye can take one look at a knife and instantly recognize the work of a master. The dead giveaway: simplicity. With its clean lines, subtle bronze details, and highly-ergonomic build, the Avant™ everyday carry folding knife asserts its position at the top of the pack.

When he’s not creating, Designer Eric Ochs likes to take in the views of his Oregon backyard from over 8,000’. He’s climbed a handful of PNW volcanic peaks and channeled the power of perseverance from these missions into his hardworking designs. The proof is in the flipper opening and the fast, smooth IKBS™ that uses lubed ball bearings in the pivot to deploy the blade at lightning speed. It’s also built with a thumb disk for a more deliberate, manual open. Once it’s deployed, the locking liner adds a solid layer of safety without compromising on ease of one-handed closing capability. The woven carbon fiber handles are compact and solid in the hand and the practical satin-finished spear point blade thrives from the front country to the back. To polish the look, Ochs gave it a bronze pocket clip and pivot detail, earning it serious style points.

Backcountry utility and front-country style converge to create the Avant™.

Spoon? Check. Bottle Opener? Check. With this unique outdoor multi-tool, you’ll be checking off a lot of things without having to dig too far into your pack.

Our Eat’NTool® is the brainchild of designer Liong Mah of Palm Bay, FL. At first glance, it looks like the familiar spoon/fork "spork" combination, but Liong has used his ingenuity and computer-aided design skills to create a lightweight, high-tech outdoor tool.

Yes, there is an ergonomic spoon and a short-tuned fork. But in addition, there's a handy bottle opener on one side for your beer that will go with dinner. Then, if you’re in a bind, the right side of the handle is ground to provide an emergency screwdriver blade and will also work as a pry for opening canisters. CRKT Exitool Vehicle Escape Tool CRKT Exitool Vehicle Escape Tool
CRKT Exitool Vehicle Escape Tool

Every driver has a concern about being trapped in a vehicle in an accident. First, there is the worry about being unable to release a seat belt because it is jammed or if the release is inaccessible. Second, there are the difficulties of escaping a vehicle that has been submerged in water. Water pressure may make it difficult or impossible to open doors or lower windows until water has seeped in and the internal pressure is equalized.

Custom knifemaker Russ Kommer recognized the need for a simple and affordable emergency tool. We call it the ExiTool®.

The ExiTool® fits unobtrusively onto any standard seat belt with a simple folding clasp. It includes a seat belt cutter, a tungsten carbide window breaker, and a bright LED flashlight.

The seat belt cutter has been carefully designed so that is nearly impossible for even the smallest fingers to accidentally reach the blade. Its blade is made of Razor-Sharp high-carbon stainless steel and will cut seat belts in one quick pull.

The side windows of modern vehicles are made of glass which is tempered to shatter on impact. The ExiTool® features a small tungsten carbide breaker point. Just grasp the ExiTool® body firmly and strike the window to break it. For best results, hit the window as close to the bottom edge as possible.

The breaker has two emergency uses. On dry land, if the vehicle's doors are jammed closed, the breaker can allow instant escape through a side window. If the vehicle is submerged, most safety experts recommend using the air supply which is trapped inside before breaking a window to avoid a sudden onrushing flow of water. However, this will vary depending on the depth of the water and the condition of the passengers. The ExiTool® will allow drivers or passengers to break the window instantly when it is needed.

The LED. light uses one replaceable CR2032 3-Volt lithium battery. Of course, the flashlight is useful in non-emergency situations, too.

We think every vehicle should have at least one ExiTool®.

Features:
• Emergency Seat Belt Strap Cutter
• Tungsten Carbide Side Window Breaker
• LED Light. Clips Directly on to Seat Belt
• Designed by Russ Kommer in Fargo, North Dakota.

Norse design with a soul that’s all American. Why meddle with an axe shape that has been tried and true for over a thousand years? That’s the logic designer and veteran Elmer Roush brings to the Freyr™ tactical axe. The deep beard echoes Viking style. But its balance and pure burliness boosts it into a contemporary league all its own. Shield and Viking battle cry not included.

Elmer Roush of Brasstown, North Carolina has one foot definitively in the past. When it comes to designing axes, that is. Though the Freyr’s™ deep beard might not be put to use drawing back an enemy’s shield as it would have in Viking-patrolled seas of lore, the balance it adds elevates this axe to a modern workhorse. Named after the Norse god of prosperity, its Viking soul stands up to its classic appearance.

The blade itself is hot forged of carbon steel and receives a passivation treatment for ultimate corrosion resistance. It’s met with a handle carved of Tennessee hickory and is precisely crafted for durability and ease of use.

If it’s true that history repeats itself, then this utilitarian axe is definitive proof.

Earth. Fire. Wind. Water. Gungho™. The master’s mark is beauty and strength in simplicity. Tom Krein asserted his position at the top with the Gungho™ everyday carry folding knife. Though the design feels downright elemental, it’s been given OutBurst™ spring assisted opening for futuristic functionality and an allover dark black that looks right at home in your gear kit, or in the garage.

Tom Krein is a renowned staple within his Gentry, Arkansas community, and the Gungho™ tactically-inspired everyday carry knife is a cornerstone in his legacy. An unassuming 2.7” tanto-style blade finished in black oxide is met with an equally dark-and-mysterious handle to form the sturdy bones of this daily workhorse. While the top is textured G10 for excellent grip, the opposing side is stainless steel with a covert frame lock to keep your blade secure.

Deployment with a straightforward thumb stud to 30 degrees is all that’s needed to kick it into gear—from there, OutBurst™ takes over and the blade bursts fully open. The powerful spring holds it securely closed when the deed is done.

An elemental design meets universal potential in the Gungho™.

How OutBurst™ Assisted Opening Works
Manually open the blade up to 30 degrees and the patented OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism springs the knife fully open so that you’re good to go. The powerful spring also holds the blade securely closed when not in use.

CRKT Knife Homefront Hunter Folding Knife

It might look like Daniel Boone’s classic hunting folder, but it’s got an impressive secret.

The Homefront™ Hunter is among the first in our fleet to feature “Field Strip” technology. This in-field, no-tool take apart capability lets you purge your most reliable companion of whatever mud, blood, or grit you may encounter right where you are, without having to step foot back in civilization.

The breakthrough “Field Strip” innovation comes from the shop of world-renowned knife craftsman Ken Onion and has been over ten years in the making. To disassemble the Homefront™ Hunter when the knife is in the closed position, push the front release lever away from the blade, then spin the turn release wheel on the rear of the handle away from the pivot shaft—once you feel the handle release, pull it up and away from the blade. Reassembly is as easy as reversing the procedure, allowing for practical, quick maintenance where you stand.

From his shop in Kaneohe, HI, Ken Onion designed the Homefront™ Hunter to reflect both vintage WWII military styling and complex, effective hunting camouflage. The lug-style flipper sets off the smooth open action of the stainless steel blade, while tank jimping on the backstrap sits snugly against your palm. The big-bellied blade is ideal for long, sweeping swipes when you’re field dressing your kill.

It stands up to the looks of your grandpa’s old hunting folder, and it sure as hell stands up to any job it encounters. The handles are made of glass-reinforced nylon and have a Realtree Xtra® Camo so realistic, you’ll be afraid of rustling leaves when you get your hands on it.

For a minimalist with an appetite for big adventure. Jesper Voxnaes’ Scandinavian backyard is filled with fjords, punctuated by mountains, and sliced by surging rivers. So when he sets out to design an outdoor knife, it’s crafted to perform. Everywhere. And with Field Strip technology, the HVAS™ is taking preparedness to the next level. Your move, Mother Nature.

Jesper Voxnaes calls Loegstrup, Denmark home. And his hobbies include hunting, fishing, sailing, camping, hiking…you get the picture. So when he reaches for a knife in the backcountry, miles from anywhere, he expects it to perform. In fact, he designs it to do just that. The name HVAS™ (pronounced simply vas) harkens to the knife’s Old Norse roots, translating to “sharp” in the ancient language, and it’s a flawless addition to an outdoorsman’s wilderness gear with a classic drop point blade in a clean satin finish. CRKT Knife Minimalist Black Drop point CRKT Knife Minimalist Black Drop point
CRKT Knife Minimalist Black Drop point

Specifically built for anything that needs to be cut. These compact fixed blade neck knives with tough handles come in a variety of different blade styles. In the woods or around the house they feel equally at home.

They’re designed by Alan Folts of Melbourne, FL. A designer and dedicated custom knife instructor with over 20 years' experience, he cares deeply about helping folks learn about knives as tools, and passing along the skills of custom knife making to others.

These svelte dynamos pack a lot into their compact fixed blade knife designs. Available in plain edge Wharncliffe, tanto and Bowie style blades, they rip through a variety of cutting tasks better than most knives of comparable size. You owe it to yourself to see how something so compact can come up so big with such great control.

Let your first two fingers take hold of the G10 handle. Wrap the last two around the cord fob for extra grip. Then see where you can go with it from there. You'll find it's tough to argue against the value of having a knife along with you, especially one as versatile and comfortable as the Minimalist. It's slim in design only, not features.

They all come with a versatile carry sheath. Not that you'll be keeping them in there for long.

Take your favorite with you for when you might need it most—all of the time.

It’s a nice dinner knife when a dressed buck is on the menu. The Mossback™ Hunter fixed blade hunting knife offers a 3.2” drop point blade, G10 handle and nylon sheath in a package that’s ready to hit the field. This is the one to have on your belt when you’re carrying a lot of venison on your back.

Tom Krein from Gentry, Arkansas, truly lived the motto of form follows function when designing this knife. Having served as an ER trauma nurse, he learned a lot about ergonomics and human anatomy. Not to mention the anatomy of animals being an avid hunter. Over the years, he’s used this background and a hefty dose of knife knowledge to create over 13 noteworthy blades.

However you use it, the Mossback™ Hunter comes up big on cutting power. Use it with an inverted hold and you’ll find the drop point blade is big enough for all North American game. Yet you can also cap it with your finger while dressing. All that tasty venison meat never saw it coming.

With a tough G10 handle, it’s also incredibly durable and feels great in your hand. Meanwhile a nylon sheath makes it easy to attach to your belt or strap to your pack. This knife looks even better in action.
